Down the old staircase...I'm walking out the door. I feel lost here tonight, everything has changed since that summer before. Stumbling forward...I'm glancing back. There's no one in the window begging me to come back. The streetlights are burning. But I'm not yet ready for this day to be done. Cause I always come up short. I'm always lusting for something more. And so I push right into the night harder and harder until my heart beats just right. Across downtown and over the tracks. Exhaustion finally taking hold...down to the place I love where nobody knows. Old photographs much too late at night. I dream of times I wish I could leave behind. And I always wake up ugly and dissatisfied. I've gotta change my mind. I've gotta change my life...get down to the root of the problem...cure my misdirection...cause all the laughs die at closing time and I lie awake wondering why I'm an all or nothing kid and why I've been feeling like nothing all of the time. Where do I go? Am I on my own? |

Now almost all of the remnants of that past are gone. Even after letting go and moving on there are still some things one tries to hold on to. But not anymore. I won't even allow myself small things like that anymore. In a way, it was liberating, but it still made me kind of sad. Now the only memories I have are in my head and my heart. Hopefully, this means bigger and better things lie ahead.
I am glad that you seem to have finally found happiness. |

The Ted Leo and The Pharmacists show tonight was absolutely amazing. I have so much fun every time I see them. Tonight I requested "Timorous Me", which is on of my all time favorite Ted Leo songs and he played it and dedicated it to me. He also played "Biomusicology" and "Dirty Old Town", which are also awesome songs. I had such a great time tonight, the best I've had in quite a while. Thanks to Alix for coming with me and helping to make the night great and a huge thanks to Ted Leo (even though I know he'll never see this) for making my night so wonderful. |

So my housemate's fucking drunken d-bag, brah-dude friend tore down one of the exit signs in our building and then proceeded to throw it around inside our apartment (if you get caught with one of those in your apartment you get in major trouble because they are emergency exit signs). He then made his way to our fuse box and turned off all of our power. If that wasn't enough, he then ripped our toilet paper holder out of our bathroom wall. I was so fucking pissed, still am. I yelled at my housemate to get him the fuck out of my apartment and was on the verge of seriously flipping out. Luckily, she got him out right after.
I think she and I are going to have a serious talk tomorrow because if I ever see that kid in my apartment again, they both are getting the shit kicked out of them if I have my way. |

Johnny Cupcakes gets ripped off by Urban Outfitters....
Urban Outfitters ripped off one of my shirts and is now selling it in
some of their stores. They have a shirt with a jet dropping
cupcakes(with a different color scheme),. Last year Urban wanted to carry my shirts
& they had a few Johnny Cupcakes shirt samples I had sent them....the
Jet dropping cupcakes being one of them. They never sent my samples back
after I told them I didn't want to buisness with them
A friend of mine that works in an Urban Outfitters e-mailed me today,
telling me that she thought they got Johnny Cupcakes shirts in....
except they had an "Urban Renewal" tag on the inside of em -which is Urban
Outfitters notorious clothing line that rips off small, independant
artists & designers from all around the world.
I am talking to a few lawyers to see if there's anything I can do. They
may of changed the design around enough so that they can't get in
trouble. Major bummer.
If you google "Urban Outfitters" and "Infringement" - you will find a
couple hundred court cases about Urban Outfitters screwing over
young/small designers & clothing lines. Urban outfitters makes 856 Miliion
dollars a year. They put small shops out of business. They're the
Wallmart/Hot Topic of clothing stores.
On my website you will see the Red Jet t-shirt dropping cupcakes that I
originally sent to them, as a sample, before I decided to keep my
shirts out of Urban Outfitters. They KEPT my sample shirts, copied one of
them so far, and is now mass producing them with their 'Urban Renewal'
company name on the inside(the various webcam picas towards the bottom).
